

Bishop James Earl Gordon was born July 2, 1936, as the third son of
Bishop Willie K. Gordon and Mrs. Alma (Kitty) Gordon. Bishop "Earl"
is the name he is known by to many of his colleagues. He is a man of
great ability, honesty and integrity. He is dedicated to work and service
of the Church and the People of God.
Bishop James Earl Gordon's primary and secondary education was in the
Tangiphoa Parish School System. His post secondary education was at
Southern university where he holds a B.S. Degree in Education and a
master's in Administration. He also earned a Master of Theology from
the New Orleans Theological Seminary along with many, many, many other
accomplishments.
In 1959, Bishop James Earl Gordon began his spiritual leadership commitment
to God's Sheep. He served as pastor of First C.O.G.I.C., Denham Springs,
La.; Gordon-Harrell C.O.G.I.C, Arcola, La,; He preached out the birth
of Holy Ghost C.O.G.I.C., New Orleans, La.; Mount Calvary C.O.G.I.C.,
New Orleans, La.; and is presently pastoring full-time at Feltus Lazard
Memorial Temple C.O.G.I.C., Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Bishop James Earl Gordon has ministered in every capacity. He has served
as Co-Pastor, Pastor, Assistant Superintendent, Superintendent, Second
Administrative Assistant and First Administrative Assistant. In the
year of 1986 the presiding Bishop J.O. Patterson Sr., appointed him
as Prelate of the First Jurisdiction of Eastern Louisiana. For fifteen
years he has served as a Godly committed leader to the Jurisdiction.
Bishop James E. Gordon has progressed on all levels with God's anointing.
He has served the National church by chairing committees and continues
to keep the Jurisdiction intact with support of the National
Church.
After the passing of his wife, he was united once more in Holy Matrimony
to Miss Janice Marie Sibley. Together they are serving God's people
and his church in every way possible. Bishop James Earl Gordon is a
true "Man Of God".
